Our Story

Stoneridge Gardens & Nursery has been a family business since it started in 1994.

The nursery was born from a love of perennial gardening. We grow from bare root, plugs, division, and seed. We cold grow our plants, which means that we do not heat our greenhouses. The plants are well acclimatized and very hardy. It also keeps the plants healthy and happy all season since they have not been forced into early growth.

Seeing mature plantings allows you to get inspired, and decide if particular plants will work in your garden. We encourage people to come often since the gardens change throughout the season.

We started out wholesale and are now our own public garden nursery location. We do supply ACE Country & Garden in Almonte, and when possible, participate in Farmers Markets and plant sales.

Laurie is the nursery's business owner, a self taught perennial expert who is always happy to offer plant information and answer any questions you may have! Laurie designed and maintains the display gardens and keeps our greenhouses full of gorgeous perennials all season long!

Jessica Bachand

Jessica is Laurie's daughter, who grew up within Stoneridge Gardens and Nursery and studied Business and then Horticulture in college. She maintains the walkways and potted plants, does all things website and social media, and is the one present at all of our markets or other events!
